The project supports the implementation of the Government of Punjab’s larger education program supporting the 2018 Education Goals. The project has already witnessed an increase in primary school completion rates, and satisfactory progress is seen in at least seven of the nine Disbursement Linked Indicators. Data collection for the Service Delivery Indicator (SDI) Survey has been completed, and main results have been discussed with the key counterparts, with a broader dissemination being planned over the next months. This survey provides a first ever cross-section of education service delivery in the province, specifically, student learning, teacher competencies, teaching and learning practices in the classroom and school management practices. The survey to assess the level of school readiness of children has also been completed.
