The single largest remaining activity is the completion of Mali’oli’o Bridge works, which are at risk of not being completed by the project closing date. The Overall Implementation Progress is currently Moderately Satisfactory; however, it is noted that the expedient procurement of a contractor and supervision engineer for Mali’oli’o Bridge is important if the project is to be completed prior to the closing date. For other activities, implementation progress continues to improve, with a number of infrastructure and technical assistance milestones reached, including the completion of Vaitele Street widening and the replacement of Leone Bridge, as well as the purchasing of laboratory equipment to improve engineering testing by LTA.
