The Bank mission was able to confirm on field the good performance of contractors’ works for irrigation network and for Las Barias dam. The mission requested the PIU to update one PDO indicator (restored irrigated area), as it appears clearly that the actual impact will at least increase twofold if compared with the current target (11,577 ha). For Component 2 (Rehabilitation and Risk Management in Electricity Sector, implemented by CDEEE), all the activities will be concluded by end of 2013; the remaining Public Disclosure Copy disbursements sum 6 million USD for this component. The rehabilitation of Las Barias dam will be concluded by July 2013 and ready to be inaugurated by the President of Dominican Republic. The transmission lines works are facing some delays but the 44 km remaining will be completed by the end of November 2013, including 10 km above the PDO indicator (152 km).
