AGRICULTURE SERVICES INDUSTRY Male Female 0% 50% 100% The constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina includes sex as a protected category for the basis of non-discrimination. Men and women LEGAL FRAMEWORK have equal ownership and inheritance rights to property. The default marital property regime is partial community of property. There are laws restricting the industries in which women may work. More specifically, there are restrictions regarding the employment of women in the areas of mining and work deemed hazardous or arduous. Women are entitled to 1 year of maternity leave with 60% of wages paid. Men are entitled to 7 calendar days of paternity leave with 100% of wages paid. The law guarantees pregnant and nursing women workplace protections from dismissal, placement in an equivalent posi- tion when they return from maternity leave, and rights to a flexible schedule. The law stipulates public provision of childcare for children under the age of primary education. The age at which both men and women can retire and receive full benefits is 65.
