Dear Ms. Sloan: 
 
1. 
We refer to the above-mentioned Grant Agreement between the Bill and Melinda 
Gates Foundation (
the “Foundation”) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and 
Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), 
(collectively, the “Bank”) regarding the Improving the Quality and Policy Relevance of 
Household-Level 
Data 
on 
Agriculture 
in 
Sub-Saharan 
Africa 
Trust 
Fund                      
(TF No. 071165) (the “Trust Fund”) effective as of November 13, 2008, as amended  
(the “Grant Agreement”)  
 
2. 
Pursuant to recent discussion between the Bank and the Foundation, the Bank 
proposes to amend the table in paragraph 6 of the Grant Agreement to read as follows:

All other terms of the Grant Agreement shall remain the same.

The Bank will disclose this Amendment and related information on this Trust 
Fund in accordance with the World Bank Policy on Access to Information. By entering 
into this Amendment, the Foundation consents to disclosure of this Amendment and 
related information on this Grant Agreement. 
 
5. 
Please confirm your acceptance to the foregoing, on behalf of the Foundation, by 
signing and dating the two originals, retaining one original for your records and 
returning the other original to the Bank.  Upon receipt by the Bank of the original 
Amendment countersigned by you, this Amendment will become effective as of the date 
of the countersignature.
