In terms of beneficiary households, the project has reached 417,455 households in new villages and 526,928 households in SIPP II villages. As such, the total beneficiary household coverage is 944,383. Also, 36,365 middle and rich families are provided with drinking water facilities. In addition, 29,893 youths in the new villages have been assisted with training and employment generation support. As such, the total number of direct beneficiaries (one family member is registered as a direct beneficiary in addition to the youths) stands at 1,010,641 against a project target of 1,000,000. The percentage of female direct project beneficiaries stands at 95% against a project target of 90%. The project has disbursed US$ 154.31 million (80.03% of the total credit amount) and has a withdrawal application for US$ 2.71 million under processing. The project budgeted expenditures amount to US$ 41.96 million in the Annual Implementation Plan 2018/2019 and SDF has utilized 77% of its budget. Overall improvements have been noted in fiduciary management and the project remains in compliance with environmental and social safeguard requirements.
