The first tranche disbursement is expected over the coming weeks. Component one of the project requires a preliminary diagnostic study to be undertaken to map current and future initiatives aimed at improving services to victims of gender-based violence in Solomon Islands. UNWomen have previously undertaken a mapping of current projects focused on the prevention and elimination of gender-based and sexual violence which will further expanded as part of the diagnostic study. Following the diagnostic study a national workshop will be held to further define priority actions and inform the design of a subproject, which will comprise component two of the project. Page 1 of 3 The World Bank Report No: ISR11466 A local consultant will be hired to undertake the consultations required for the diagnostic study, as well as prepare and facilitate the national workshop and subsequently draft and publish a final report. The draft terms of reference for this hire are under final draft and are expected to be forwarded for World Bank no objection shortly. Additionally, the workshop dates have been confirmed and the participant list and workshop program are well under draft. It is expected that it will be attended by high level government representatives, representatives of all members of the SafeNET referral network, relevant donor and NGO heads and, representatives of all provincial areas of Solomon Islands.
