BRAC, a non-governmental organization that is the implementing agency for this grant funded by the Japanese Social Development Fund, has set up nine Safe Migration Facilitation Centers (SMFCs) covering 18 districts, and has put in place project staff at all Page 1 of 5 The World Bank Report No: ISR15833 levels. Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) are being signed with community based organizations (CBOs) in 72 upazilas in 18 districts, and a number of trainings have been conducted, including orientation on safe migration and social participation, legal issues pertaining to migration, Training of Trainers, and stakeholder workshops. All training and Information and Education Campaign (IEC) materials, including outlines for Interactive Popular Theatre (IPT) shows, have been developed. A baseline survey for the project has been launched.
