Has the Project Development Objective been changed since Board Approval of the Project Objective? No Overall Ratings Name Previous Rating Current Rating Progress towards achievement of PDO -- Satisfactory Overall Implementation Progress (IP) -- Moderately Satisfactory Implementation Status and Key Decisions The Digital Jobs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa program built upon the lessons from pilot projects on digital jobs, skills and youth engagement conducted under a non-lending Technical Assistance program with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB), an autonomous entity in the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Most project-funded activities were quickly initiated shortly after project effectiveness, relying on an evidence-based technical design and a tested implementation plan. The project's progress toward the development objective is Satisfactory. The first Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) facility has been rehabilitated and furnished, female-led startups have been selected, skills training activities are running, and the bidding document for the online platform partnership has been issued. The implementation status is Moderately Satisfactory due to two pending issues, namely the hiring of the Project Director and Procurement Specialist, and the establishment of the designated project account at the National Bank of Pakistan. The disbursement rate remains low partly because of these administrative delays, and partly because of the nature of project activities that release payments only after the completion of work. Current commitments suggest a significant increase in disbursement will be observed in the next month.
