For Component 1, sub-component 1.1. for slope stabilization and remediation measures has advanced well and is close to completion. Sub-components 1.2. and 1.3. for road and water infrastructure rehabilitation works have signed contracts for the feasibility, design, and safeguards studies required to commence the planned activities. Under Component 2, the evaluation report of the technical and financial proposals for the Emergency Preparedness and Response (EP&R) Capacity Needs Assessment has been completed. The activities under sub-component 2.2. have been revised to focus on community drainage to resolve flood risk management issues in upper catchment areas of communities that are also vulnerable to landslide risks. This revision maintains alignment with the overall objectives of the project, financing category, and results framework.
