Almost all Credit amount has been committed. Almost all of some 30+ studies/activities are underway. Many have been completed. The rest are in advance completion stages. Progress on the critical actions agreed during the last mission is mixed and the Task Team is in dialog with the Project in that regard. Disbursements have moved from US $21 million (57.9% of the total credit) at the time of the last mission in September 2012 to US $25.23 (66% of the total). Two Implementation Agencies (IA), Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and the Project Page 1 of 5 The World Bank Report No: ISR10058 Management and Policy Implementation Unit (PMPIU), responsible together with over US $32 million (85%) of the total credit, continue to perform well. Implementation of the project activities managed by another IA, the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), still poses serious challenges. Task Team has discussed an action plan to address these challenges and ensure that the Project Credit is disbursed fully and effectively. Discussions have also taken place for an extension and additional financing.
