Amendment to the Grant Agreement
Excellency:
We refer to the Grant Agreement between the Republic of Peru ("Recipient") and the
International Bank for Reconstruction and Development ("World Bank") acting as administrator of
grant funds provided by Japan under the Japan Social Development Fund, dated September 20, 2011,
with respect to the above-captioned Project ("Grant Agreement"). Capitalized terms used in this
letter (the "Amendment Letter") and not defined herein have the meaning ascribed to them in the
Grant Agreement.
We also refer to your letters dated March 11, 2013 and April 8, 2013 to the World Bank,
wherein a request is made to: (i) modify the categories of Eligible Expenditures; and (ii) reallocate
Grant proceeds. We are pleased to inform you that the World Bank concurs with your request and
agrees to amend the Grant Agreement as follows:
1. The table in Section 3.01 to the Grant Agreement is hereby replaced as set forth in the
Annex to this Amendment Letter.
2. Section 3.01 of the Grant Agreement is hereby amended to include the following definition
for purposes of the table in Section 3.01:
"For the purposes of this Section the term "Operating Costs" means operating costs
required for the Project including consumable materials and supplies, communications, mass
media and printing services, vehicle rental, operation and maintenance, charges for the
opening and operation of bank accounts required for the Project, and local travel, lodging and
per diems, but excluding salaries of officials of the Recipient's civil service."
All other terms of the Grant Agreement, except as amended through this Amendment
Letter, shall remain the same.


Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing on behalf of the Recipient by signing
and dating two originals of this Amendment Letter. This Amendment Letter shall become effective
as of the date of countersignature, upon receipt by the World Bank of one fully executed original of
this Amendment Letter.
