Commitments reached around 93% of the loan amount and the project will be fully committed by June, 2013. Contracts for a total amount of USD 61.58 million have already been completed. Some participating cities are finishing investment subprojects satisfactorily: two cities - Kolomya and Nova Kakhovka completed their sub-projects and four more are expected to complete by end June 2013. About 60 contracts are currently under implementation in twelve cities. Odessa, the largest subproject, is now making implementation progress, after considerable delays in commencement of works during 2011-2012. Total disbursement to- date is $76.39 mln, or around 55% of the total loan amount. Additional disbursement estimates till the end of FY are around USD 35 million. On July 13, 2012 a Project restructuring was approved by the World Bank Board of Executive Directors and the closing date was extended by one year untill December 31, 2013. In Public Disclosure Copy December 2012, a SIDA UIP Grant restructuring and closing date extension till December 31, 2013 was also completed. Special attention will be given to progress monitoring in Odessa, which is the largest subproject and started implementation of works only recently. It is critical to sign two outstanding contracts soonest under the UIP SIDA TF and start implementation without further delay - (i) Feasibility Studies contract, for which selection has been finalized two weeks ago; and (ii) Capacity Building for Utilities contract, evaluation for which is now underway.
