Most of the bidding documents for these activities have been finalized and launched and a few activities have been contracted. Page 1 of 5 The World Bank Report No: ISR7096 With regards to policy, the National Water Council was created by Presidential Decree on August 15, 2011, with a consulting, planning and implementing role of the water and sanitation sector's strategic framework. A draft revised water law has been submitted to the Government and the Water and Sanitation Strategy is being finalized in coordination with the Mesa de Agua and under the leadership of INAPA. A new project management team has been appointed and worked to speed up procurement processes.
