Impact assessment of the original credit shows that the project interventions are heavily skewed towards the most disadvantaged sections of the state. Socioeconomic screening, targeting and beneficiary Page 1 of 8 The World Bank Report No: ISR13638 mobilization process have allowed significant participation of small and marginal farmers, and the landless. 20% of the beneficiaries are women. The Financing Agreement and Project Agreement for the Additional Financing were signed on April 13, 2012 and the additional financing credit became effective from June 27, 2012. As a result of depreciation of the Indian Rupee against the US Dollar - from INR 50 to US$1 at the appraisal of the additional finance credit to INR 62 to US$1 in December 2013, as requested by DEA, GoI equivalent of US$10.00 million from the Additional Finance credit (IDA-50620) was canceled effective December 03, 2013. The project has made good progress since the last Public Disclosure Copy mission in terms of meeting the agreed actions especially on procurement. Since last mission, the project has been able to sign contracts worth INR 2680 million (US$ 43.23 million). Mission appreciates the efforts made by the PIU (PWD) team and the PCU team, especially those involved in the procurement activities in achieving the targeted procurement in the given time. With regard to component progress under the Investment Grant Scheme component, the project has been able to achieve the targets for the year and the progress is satisfactory; progress of Agricultural Services and Market Chain Development component is mixed - the AACP ATMA program continues to perform well, while the performance of CSS-ATMA is not as desired and is yet to take off; overall progress under livestock activities has improved; and progress under the Infrastructure Development component- is also satisfactory with procurement for all the identified rural roads and markets being completed.
