Construction of the new 300 preprimary classrooms in 265 schools have been completed. All 73 community child development group (CCDG) facilities have been in use. 98% of the playgrounds have been installed and the remaining will be completed within 1-2 months. Refresher trainings for caregivers and teachers is being conducted regularly. Progress has been made on disability screening. The next step of medical screening is in progress with the first draft of the medical screening manual ready. The National School Meals Program (NSMP) has been successfully taken over by the government/ MoES. The impact evaluation of the ECE program is progressing well. Early results from the midline are encouraging, showing a strong effect of project interventions on nutritional status, enrollment in ECE and learning outcomes of 3-5 year olds. The endline is scheduled for January-March 2020.
