It is expected that additional US$ 33-34 million will be disbursed by the end of December 2014. The remaining balance is foreseen to be disbursed by the closing date of June 30, 2015. The outstanding civil works for M3 Kur river Bridge are expected to be completed by the end of June 2014. Physical progress for bridge works by mid-December is 85% and is expected to reach 87- 88% by the end December 2014. The quality of implemented construction works is satisfactory. The amount of resources mobilized, including equipment and personnel on site, is adequate. The revised schedule for completion of the remaining activities has been agreed between the Borrower and the Contractor. Implementation of institutional development activities has already been completed with significant progress made in supporting the development of road asset management systems, institutional strengthening, and capacity building at the Ministry of Transport and the the Road Administration. Restructuring of the Project has extended the project closing date until June 30, 2015. The Project has entered its final implementation phase. The implementation agency needs to maintain the positive momentum following the project restructuring and ensure completion of remaining works by the new project closing date.
