The objective of GPE is to provide financial assistance to help low- and middle-income countries around the world achieve the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) on education. Mongolia was approved by the GPE Board of Directors to receive a Catalytic Fund Grant of $10 million to cover the period from 2012 to 2014, and the project became effective on March 6, 2012. Overall implementation is focusing on the procurement of fixed kindergartens. Mobile ger kindergartens were distributed during the summer, and a parent satisfaction survey will be conducted and finalized in September 2012.
