Among these States/UTs, 137institutions were selected, of which 81 institutions (56 government funded/aided and 25 private unaided) were selected under thefund to increase employability of UG graduates (sub-component 1.1) and 56 institutions (42 government funded/aided and 14 privateunaided) under the fund to scale-up PG education (sub-component 1.2). In addition, 24 Centrally Funded Institutions (CFIs) wereselected, of which 7 institutions are under 1.1 and 17 institutions under 1.2. Hence, the total number of institutions selected forTEQIP-II is 161 institutions (137 from the states + 24 CFIs). Almost all institutions have received training inimplementation, procurement, financial management, and/or monitoring and evaluation. Institutions are using the online procurementmanagement system. Collection of data through the academic Management Information System is underway and expected to be completedin October. Public Disclosure Copy The announcement for the second round of applications for sub-component 1.1 has been published. It is expected thatabout another 40 institutions will be selected. The progress made so far in the project owes to the strong stewardship of theMinistry of Human Resource Development and the leadership of the National Project Implementation Unit under MHRD.
