While SONEDE does not have data loggers that can measure pressure in distribution networks on a continuous basis, the Direction of Exploitation provides reliable data (such as rationing "ordres de services" issued by District office) which allows to monitor water shortages. For the Greater Tunis, the technical audit conducted in August 2017 verified that there has not been any water cut in the network due to shortage of water supply, thanks to the approval of works ST4 in Ghedir El Golla (Phase 1 completed in 2015) for which the treatment capacity is superior to the current water demand. At final approval, the extension works will allow to cover projected water needs until 2022. For the cities served by the Belli treatment plant, there has not been any water cuts during the project implementation so far (October 2017 technical audit). The risk of jeopardizing the PDO outcome by project closing, ICR, and IEG review is also mitigated by the new seawater desalination plant in Sousse (50,000 m3/day) which is expected to absorb the seasonal water deficit as of summer 2019 in the coastal towns, Central region. PHINDPDOTBL  Direct project beneficiaries of which females (Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 5.00 6.82 6.82 6.80 Date 13-May-2014 02-Nov-2017 09-Mar-2018 29-Jun-2018 Comments This value of this indicator is cumulative. It refers to beneficiaries in areas targeted by rehabilitation and expansion works. It includes the number of household connections and beneficiary people in the targeted areas of the project works (figures are calculated on the basis on average people per household connection). The positive result is due to the operationalization of ST4 (2 m3/second) 4/10/2018 Page 3 of 11 Public Disclosure Copy Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Tunisia Urban Water Supply (P064836) which increases the total treatment capacity of the Ghedir El Golla facility to 7.4 m3/second and thus respond to the increase in water demand. SONEDE has installed about 300,000 new household connections since 2014 in the project areas --although not all connections are attributed to the infrastructure financed under the project. In terms of women beneficiaries, according to the 2014 national census, women constitute 50.01% of the Tunisian population, hence the beneficiaries can be considered men and women equally. The ST4 treatment plant is operational since provisional approval granted on June 19, 2015. Final works approval is pending correction of minor technical defects scheduled during the winter 2018-2019, when the demand for water is lower and the plant can be stopped. Actual values (August 2017 technical audit) have been adjusted and progress is being measured against the revised baseline figure. Accordingly, after the year 2016, values as measured are slightly lower (2%) than the target values. The value for 2018 is estimated. The installation works are well underway as verified during the March 2018 supervision mission. Provisional approval of works was granted on January 12, 2018 (which were still ongoing at the time of the restructuring in November 2017) and final approved is scheduled in April 2018, following some settings and adjustments on site .
