The project has an 18 month implementation period. The team is currently processing a six month extension period for the project. Thus, the new closing date would be June 30 2015. The project is financed by the MENA multi-donor trust fund. CAWTAR has advanced with project implementation in a satisfactory manner in line with the original schedule outlined in project documents. Page 1 of 5 The World Bank Report No: ISR16210 Since the previous implementation status report, CAWTAR has advanced significantly on implementing and scaling up financial literacy activities in Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt through a variety of partnerships with key institutions in Tunisia (Enda, International Youth Foundation, Bureau d'Emploi), Morocco (Centre Mohammed VI), and Egypt (Sanabel) and through multiple delivery channels (classroom-based, e-learning, peer learning). CAWTAR has also advanced on developing a variety of analytical works ranging from shorter Public Disclosure Copy diagnostics on the financial inclusion and education landscape in Tunisia to a larger study on mobile payments and innovation. CAWTAR is preparing a strategy to conduct south- south learning exchanges between financial sector stakeholders in the MENA region. These learning exchanges and capacity building events will take place between October 2014 and February 2015.
