The implementation of training activities in particular, which had been behind schedule for quite a while, has caught up and is now back on track. Based on the comprehensive review during the February mission, the Bank team was satisfied with the progress of the project, and was able to witness the positive impact and feedback from communities on incentive programs included in the School Community Grants (SCGs), Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT), transportation grants, and contracting of Rural Female staff (RFTC), based on quantitative and qualitative data Page 1 of 5 The World Bank Report No: ISR14029 collected in the field (e.g. video clips featuring beneficiary interviews) and presentations made during the mission by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Project Administration Unit (PAU). Notwithstanding this notable progress, a few challenges remain in the completion of civil works for two remaining schools (out of 43), which may also compromise the timely delivery of some equipment and material to these schools. A close monitoring of project activities will have to take place during the coming months to ensure that these remaining activities can be completed on time.
