Under Component 1, the PCU has concluded the pilot activity for carrying out 25 energy efficiency audits in SMEs, 15 new audits are underway as is the process of signing contracts to audit 28 more SMEs already selected. The new consultant roster is in place and this is helping the expeditious contracting of new audits. Progress has also been made under Component 3 to support the Argentine Institute for Standardization and Certification (IRAM) with the development of new energy efficiency standards for appliances, lamps, and small electric motors. The purchase of almost 26 million Page 1 of 4 The World Bank Report No: ISR13591 CFL's under component 2 has been completed (target was 25 million) with Government of Argentina (GOA) own funds. A restructuring request to reallocate the GEF funds originally planned for CFL purchase to a credit line dedicated to EE activities in SMEs has been approved by the Bank and is in the process of being countersigned by the GOA.
