Two of the six planned demonstration sites have now completed soil excavation (remediation is ongoing), one is under preparation of remediation plan, and one is dropped from the project. Another two demonstration sites has been confirmed by FECO and the implementation agreements between FECO and discussions for the signature of implementation agreements are ongoing. Liaoning has completed development of Administrative measures for Environmental Remediation of Contaminated Site in Liaoning and the Environmental Risk Screening Levels for Contaminated Sites in Liaoning, which are in the process of issuance. The contract for development of the two technical guidelines was signed in Nov. 2018.
