Negative impacts include...  Voir la suite The objective of Alat and Karakul Water Supply Project for Uzbekistan is to improve the coverage, quality, and efficiency of public water supply services in the two districts (rayon's) of Alat and Karakul in the Bukhara region. Negative impacts include: loss of business income, loss of agriculture land, loss of trees, loss of crops, loss of urban land, and loss of agricultural income. Mitigation measures include: project implementation will avoid or minimize land acquisition to the extent possible; lack of a formal leae or land use agreement does not bar affected persons from entitlements or assistance required to achieve the objectives of the policy; affected persons are entitled to be compensated at full replacement cost for their lost assets, including temporary losses or impacts, regardless of the legal status of the land and land use; compensation will be fully provided before any civil works or demolition may begin; the compensation for the loss of profit for one tree is calculated as the net profit for the previous year in actual prices multiplied by the number of years of the remaining productive life of the tree; and the compensation would include the cost for planting saplings, as well as the loss of profit for the period when a tree achieve the age of fruit bearing.  Réduire
