Original/Current Project Development Objectives/Outcomes
The project objectives are (i) to improve the capacity for increased productivity of irrigated agriculture in
the Ferghana Valley by improving land and water management, and (ii) to improve safety and regulation of
the Kayrakum Dam and Reservoir, thereby contributing to enhanced water management security and
efficiency at the basin level.
