The project went effective in June 2012 with a financing of US$80 million, it has received an additional financing of US$ 15.6 million bringing total financing to US$ 95.6 million the project has disbursed US$ 36,4 Mn (45% of original credit), there is no disbursement lag, and the closing date is October 30, 2017. For the last fiscal year, which is the second year year of implementation since the project effectiveness in June 2012, RSSP3 has cumulatively disbursed 45% of its budget and Public Disclosure Copy committed up to 55% of the total project budget. RSSP3 to achieve its development objectives has over the last two years since effectiveness developed 1185ha of marshland and 8887 ha of hillside and is on schedule to achieve the principal targets of 7,000ha and 17,000ha respectively. RSSP3 has increased productivity in the rain fed areas and increased income by 27% for 61,051 beneficiaries. RSSP is rated satisfactory both in progress towards accomplishing its Project Development Objectives (PDO) and Overall Implementation Progress (OIP).
