This will be achieved through rehabilitation and maintenance of rural access infrastructure by contracting with the private sector and, to a lesser extent, with the communities. The achievement of the PDO will enhance the well being of the population and promote equitable licit economic growth in the country. As of May 31, 2012 the project achieved the rehabilitation/upgrading of 884 (80%) for secondary roads and 979 km (82%) for tertiary roads. Contracts for 70 secondary roads (657 Page 1 of 6 The World Bank Report No: ISR5751 km) and 241 tertiary roads (795 km) have been completed and opened to traffic. Pilot routine maintenance is ongoing on 106 community contracts covering a secondary and tertiary road network of 1057 km. Public Disclosure Copy As of December 31, 2011, US$107.9 million (99.9%) has been disbursed from the total US$108.2 million of Grant H344; and US$ 23.5 (59%) from the total US$40 million of Grant H636 - NERAP Additional Financing and; US$61.2 million ( 77%) out of the total US$80 million has been disbursed from TF095297, which brings the total disbursement including advances to the designated and float accounts to about $192.6 million (84.4%).
