The project remains on track to achieve its Project Development Objective by the Grant closing date of 15th April 2017 in spite of some delays in project roll-out. Of the 50 sub-projects to be implemented under the grant, 29 have been approved so far by CODI’s Project Steering Committee (PSC). The team is to be commended for the overall strong collaboration with municipal governments (for technical support during construction and operation and maintenance of infrastructure going forward). The mission discussed and agreed on important steps to further improve the quality of implementation as follows: (i) inclusiveness of the participatory process, (ii) clarity on the Page 5 of 6 The World Bank Report No: ISR15168 criteria used for the selection of beneficiaries households for reconstruction activities and participants in the project’s labor component; (iii) public dissemination of information on resources allocated and Grievance Redress System; (iv) documentation of land tenure and environmental impact management. The mission agreed on the importance of strengthening CODI management oversight and supervision of field activities and of ensuring regular coaching and on-the-job training for Public Disclosure Copy Provincial Coordinators. The mission further agreed that additional support for the implementation of sub-project activities in Ayuddhaya will be particularly important going forward given the challenging implementation context.
