Simon Mevel

E T Consultant

SIMON MEVEL joined the World Bank on September 2008. He is an Extended Term Consultant in the Development Research Group Environment and Energy unit. For the last 5 years he has been working intensively on economic modelling assessing policies related to very different topics such as international trade, genetically modified organisms, energy or climate changes, and each time with a focus on development issues. Prior to his appointment at the World Bank he has been working as a Research Analyst at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Washington DC, and at the Centre d’Etudes Prospectives et d’Informations Internationales (CEPII; French research center for international economic studies) in Paris. He holds a master’s degree in International Economics from the University of Pau, in France, and is currently enrolled in a PhD program.
