This press release announces on February 3, 1972, that the World Bank has made a loan of sixty-four million five hundred thousand US dollars to Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) of Brazil, the largest steel producer in Latin America, to help increase the capacity of its Presidente Vargas plant at Volta Redonda, in the State of Rio de Janeiro.
