Forcibly displaced people, particularly women and girls, are at heightened risk for intimate partner violence (IPV) and face increased barriers to accessing prevention and response services. The recent World Bank research program on the Gender Dimensions of Forced Displacement (GDFD)3 highlights the magnitude of these increased risks and points to ways in which policies and programs should be adapted to address the needs of displaced populations.
