The unemployment rates in Germany had
been decreasing progressively after the 2008
economic crisis. The rate reached 3.2 percent
in January 2020, according to the seasonally
adjusted Labor Force Survey (LFS). This trend
was accompanied by an increase in employment,
which rose by 4.4 million people between 2009
