Namibia Poverty and Equity Brief : April 2025 (anglais)

Namibia experienced significant welfare improvements between 2003/04 and 2015/16, with national official poverty declining by more than half from 37.5 to 17.4 percent. However, falling commodity prices, weak trade growth, and weak demand, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, led to negative real GDP per capita growth between 2016 and 2020.
