The project would include: a) acquisition and preparation of 400 hectares in Dakar and 60 hectares in Thies. Provision would be made for 14,000 lots in Dakar and 1,600 lots in Thies for the construction of dwellings. On the basis of estimated population density of 10 people per lot, the project would accommodate 140,000 people in Dakar and 16,000 in Thies.
