Discusses recent important economic developments in Cameroon, in paticular: the sharp decline in the price of cocoa and reduced output in other major export crops and the implications of these setbacks for investment, savings, employment and the balance of payments; and the Third Development Plan (1971-75). Assesses the general feasibility, the proposed levels of investment compared with those of the Second Plan, and the prospects for growth.
