The country is endowed with a wide range of minerals, from well-known assets in copper, coal, iron ore, gold and oil and gas, to more speculative deposits in those minerals, as well as lithium and others. In reality, the extractive industry can be both a blessing and a curse, and is rarely transformative on its own. Investments in Afghanistan will only reach maturity over the long term...
