Malaria is still a devastating disease in sub Saharan Africa where it kills at least one million people every year (United Nations Children's Fund, or UNICEF 2003). Children are most vulnerable to malaria attacks, which kill more than 3,000 children every day, largely in Africa. At least 100 Tanzanian children die daily because of the disease.
