The principal objective of this review is to assess the broad development policy implications of international migration in sub - Saharan Africa. This first volume provides an overview of migration scale, trends, and characteristics, and the relationship of migration to development issues in selected sectors. It also reviews sub - Saharan African countries' policies toward international migration.
