Child labor is a global issue. An estimated 250 million children are working worldwide. This paper proposes that the World Bank take stronger action to help address the issue more proactively, and outlines what to do and how. The basic facts and issues about child labor, relevant laws, and the positions of the international organizations are described in Section I.
