Ensuring protection in response and equity in recovery (anglais)

As in every disaster, certain groups were more vulnerable than others to the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake (GEJE). Two-thirds of those who lost their lives were over 60 years old. Response efforts to the catastrophe also affected social groups differently and reflected existing inequities, particularly with respect to women.
