Some of the negative...  Voir la suite The development objectives of the Third Secondary and Local Roads Project for Georgia are to reduce transport costs on project roads and improve the sustainability of road asset management in the secondary and local project road network. Some of the negative impacts and mitigation measures include: (1) avoidance of cutting and damaging of the trees without any special need. Preservation of vegetation as far as feasible; (2) strict keeping to the boundaries of the traffic route to avoid extra damage of vegetation (if any) and soil ramming; (3) arranging camp facilities with consideration of environmental safety requirements; (4) control the waste water of the temporary construction units to avoid their possible impacts upon the surface water; (5) maintaining the humus topsoil deposited along the right of way (RoW) corridor in a stable state prior to reuse; (6) providing detailed information to the personnel about the activities fore- seen in the project; (7) establishing control to avoid re-fueling the vehicles and technical equipment in the river-beds, on the terraces and in their immediate vicinity and hence uncontrolled emergency spillage; and (8) spray all unpaved roads and significant areas of uncovered soil with water every four hours on working days, during dry, and windy weather.  Réduire
