Some...  Voir la suite The development objective of the Uttar Pradesh Core Road Network Development Program Project for India is to: (i) improve quality, safety and sustainability of targeted state highway corridors and; (ii) to introduce better road management practices. Some of the negative impacts include: (i) tree felling; (ii) debris generation creating unsightly conditions; (iii) loss of topsoil; (iv) pollution of water channels during construction; (v) waste generation at the construction site; (vi) generation of debris and silt; (vii) impacts on air quality; (viii) contamination of water bodies or water courses; (ix) air and noise pollution; and (x) contamination from accidental spills. Some of the mitigation measures include: (i) prior clearance from forest department; (ii) disposal or storage of grubbing waste and possible reuse; (iii) preservation of topsoil for reuse; (iv) control of sediment runoff; (v) disposal of waste at designated locations; (vi) removal of Debris and disposal; (vii) ensuring compliance of hotmix plants with the CPCB emission standards; (viii) control measures as silt fencing, or vegetative barriers; (ix) conformance to emission standards and norms; and (x) demarcation of area susceptible to fires with cautionary signage.  Réduire
