2024年度、世界銀行グループは、貧困のない住みやすい地球という大胆な新たなビジョンを採択しました。これを達成するために、世銀グループは、政府、民間セクター、そして最終的には私たちがサービスを提供する人々のより良いパートナーとなるための改革を実施しています。貧困との闘いの進展の鈍化、実存的な気候危機、公的債務の増大、食料不安、不平等なパンデミックからの回復、地政学的紛争の影響など、私たちの80年の歴史の中で、私たちの仕事がこれほど緊急性に欠けていることはめったにありません。これらの複雑に絡み合った課題に対応するには、世界銀行グループをより迅速、シンプル、かつ効率的にする必要があります。私たちは、資金調達だけでなく、知識を通じてこれらの課題に立ち向かうために再び焦点を当てています。2024年度に発表した「ナレッジ・コンパクト・フォー・アクション」では、豊富な開発知識をより身近なものにすることで、公的・私的を問わず、すべての銀行グループのお客様にどのような力を与えるかを詳しく説明しています。また、世界銀行のグローバル・プラクティスを、ピープル・プロスペリティ・セクター、プラネット・インフラストラクチャー・セクター、デジタル・セクターの5つの副総裁ユニットに再編成し、クライアントとのエンゲージメントをより柔軟かつ迅速に行えるようにしました。これらの各ユニットは、2024年度に重要な節目を迎えました。私たちは、2030年までに15億人に質の高い医療サービスを手頃な価格で提供できるよう各国を支援し、私たちの子供や孫がより健康でより良い生活を送れるようにしています。これは、乳児期、小児期、青年期、成人期のあらゆる段階を通じて、基本的な標準水準のケアを提供するための、私たちのより大きな世界的な取り組みの一環です。食料被害を受けたショックや危機を乗り越えるため、2030年末までに5億人を支援するための社会保護サービスを強化し、その受益者の半数を女性にすることを目指します。
